I''m not trying to contradict anybody. I''m just writing about my experience with this cd so far. First, I will talk about playing the cd in a cd player (actually it was a bluray player) connected to the stereo amplifier. The cd played continually all the songs without pausing or skipping, except for the last "bonus" song. And it is true, at the end of the concert, you will not hear "get .... and have a good time." But the sound is closer to the original LP and it has a higher volume than the previous cd that I had. The drums sound nice and really have a punch, specially in "Nutbush city limits." At he personal level, I always liked the the strumming of the guitar in "Jody Girl" specially at the biginning of the song. But in the LP, I always had to turn up the volume to hear the strumming. With this cd, I don''t have to change the volume just for that song because the guitar sound is very clear and very real.

Listening to the cd in a computer was a different experience. I tried two good different software, and with both it was the same, the cd paused between songs. I do not know if it actually skips a fraction of a second of each song or if just pauses. The live screaming sounded exaggerated as well. I did not enjoy the sound and I have not bother to customize the equalization in the hopes of getting a better sound. Fortunately for me, I had already listened to it in my home receiver, otherwise it would have been a bummer. And just for fairness, I like to add that I have been to Bob Seger''s concert, and the crowd can get just as loud or louder than the sound in my computer.

I also listened to the cd in my car''s cd player. The sound was nice and it felt more like a "live" setting. I did not have to turn up the volume as much like with other cd''s for the music to be loud. The cd did not pause or skipped, it played continually, just like in my home receiver. I really enjoyed the sound of "Looking Back" and "Jody girl". And I am not trying to imply that this are the only songs I like.

I used to have the LP. But it has been several (many) years since I had it. To me this cd is the closest thing to the LP so far. When I listen to it, it actually makes me feel good, almost like the LP used to. Hope this review helps someone.

This collection from not only Bob Seger but also THE SILVER BULLET BAND is an absolute must have!
I grew up in the Motor City and recall countless concerts at The Palladium, Eastown Theater, and Grande Ballroom where da'' boys opened for national acts on a regular basis. I''m thinkin'' many of the headliners, after witnessing this band open for them, were left saying to themselves "I gotta follow THESE GUYS?"
Nothing you can buy better reflects the amazing power, passion, and energy of those days when Rock n'' Roll''s true capital was the Motor City.
Bob Seger (and his ASS KICKIN'' BAND) personify that as well as anybody.
Listen to their perennial classic "Heavy Music" on this disc and try to resist movin'' to it. I dare you!
It''s a good thing CD''s don''t get worn from overuse.

Even if your not a huge Bob Seger fan, this is A MUST HAVE. It was recorded live at Cobo Hall in Detroit back in 1976 when Bob Seger was a the height of his purest talent. Every epic band has that one moment in time at the very peak of melodic perfection live and this is it! In a different way it''s even better than the same studio cut songs. It will blow your mind with old school Detroit talent. Wish I could have been there, but I was only 7 years old living in Detroit at the time of recording. WOW!!!!

Once Live Bullet came out, that comparison was no longer valid. Now all you have to do to explain rock & roll to a stranger is take them to the nearest turntable, put this album on, and turn the volume up. Also, goes great with beer.

With many good albums under their belt, this one, “Live Bullet,” had the power to really get things rolling for this band. Recorded over a couple of nights in Detroit, the album takes no time to get going with "Nutbush City Limits," a classic Tina Turner creation.

Also released in 1976 was “Night Moves,” and the combination of the two great LP’s was enough to move Seger from a regional hit to a national one.

If shipwrecked on a lonely island, and you could only have one album to keep you company, “Live Bullet” would be the perfect choice. Dance the days away til rescued with this LP blasting! It’s Bob Seger’s most memorable album, and for good reason--- it’s great!

''n roll. Secondly, the recording quality is excellent; ''nuff sed there. Thirdly, the crowd is very enthusiastic. They clearly are a home-town crowd and love their cousin Bob! Quite apart from all of those things, if you have never heard the album, is the announcer they picked to do the introduction(s). I get the biggest kick outta this guy, whoever he is. He clearly is a major big Bob Seger fan, and he cannot get enough...of anything, sounds like. He gets the crowd cranked up at the beginning of the show which, undeniably, an announcer should do. But after the first part of the show end and after the first encore,he comes back on and stirs the crowd up some more. Then,, when he isn''t quite satisfied that the crowd is making enough noise, he encourages them to make more and more noise. So, Seger comes back on and does his encore, and then leaves the stage again, then comes on for the final encore. And when he finally leaves the stage for good, the announcer, (clearly loaded on something by then), comes back on and says good-night to the crowd, and says,''...and get high and have a good time!" He very evidently did! If I were Bob Seger, I would look this guy up, offer him a jjob and take him on every tour, every venue, because the guy is a classic, in my opinion!

I know there are you streaming folks out there that are like "WHAT", but you can never beat the ole Album vinyl, or CD sounds. Prefer the old album style, but they are even harder to find, and music in the last 15 years wasn''t pressed on them either. :) Thank You Seller! I will be back!

"''Live'' Bullet" is simply one of the finest live albums ever recorded, and is as good as it gets for the raspy, soulful Seger who sounds great in a studio but really belongs in front of an audience. Recorded at Cobo Hall in Detroit in September 1975, this, better than any other single album, captures the essence of Bob Seger: he''s a hard-driving and captivating frontman who has a knack for uptempo rock and slow, thoughtful ballads alike. Integral to the energy of the album is the rapport Seger has with an incredibly enthusiastic audience. The quality of the material and musicianship, the strength of the vocals, and the overall production excellence and sound quality combines seamlessly to make this truly one of the greatest albums of the 1970''s, and one of the great rock albums of all time.

The set is almost uniformly strong. "Jody Girl" is the song I listen to least often from the album, but when it comes to trying to pick favorites from the CD, I am stymied: there are simply too many gems to choose between. I love the unstated homage to Chuck Berry that comes through in "Get Out of Denver;" likewise Seger''s admiration for Berry is clearly stated in the sublime "Let It Rock." Along those same lines "Ramblin'' Gamblin'' Man," one of Seger''s best-loved songs shines in concert, as does the funky version of Van Morrison''s "I''ve Been Working." While I love these hard rocking classics, I think it''s the slower, more thoughtful, introspective songs that best show Seger''s vocal and songwriting talents. To this day there has never been a better song written about being on the road than "Turn the Page," and here the performance is a true showstopper. "Beautiful Loser" is also amazingly powerful because of both its haunting content and Seger''s emotion-laced performance.

"''Live'' Bullet" is a remarkable live album, and deserves a place in the musical library of anyone who loves powerful rock in its purest form. I give it my highest rating.

If for nothing else you need this for the awesome performance of "Turn The Page" 100 times better than the studio version, and regarded as the best version available to date. The rest is a very good performance of their early material. Highly recommended.

It must be 15 years or more since I last listened to this album, when I consigned my vinyl collection to the loft. Today, my CD copy arrived early, courtesy of Amazon, and it has been on my stereo almost non-stop. Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band are surely one of the world''s most under-rated acts. Officianados of the band need no advice from me regarding their honest hard driving rock. the only other band in their league is Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, and far be it from me to criticise Bruce Springsteen, but if I had to choose one band out of the two then Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band would win, by a whisker. "Live Bullet" is a great album! Pure Quality! If you are new to them buy this one first. It offers everyting you will ever want from a band. Fantastic covers. The opener "Nutbush City Limits" probably the outstanding track. Fabulous mid tempo rockers "Beautiful Loser," and "Ramblin''Gamblin'' Man" stand out. As with so many great bands, they do hard rock the best. Listen for "Get Out Of Denver." Rock & Roll never ever sounded better. For people new to Mr Seger, like I suggested buy this one first. It''s hard to beat, but then move on to "Nine Tonight." Marginally newer, and by a short head marginally better. Both albums must be up there in the top 20 live albums of all time. Bob Seger, I salute you. I''ve been a fan for many years, and will continue to be so. Almost 40 years on this still sounds fresh. Like the song says "Let It Rock!"

Recorded in 1975, 5 years before Nine Tonight Live, this gives a good slice of early Seger. Kicking off with a rauchy rendition of Nutbush City Limits, an odd choice to start with. It is an excellent cover nonetheless. The ablum is classic blues rock but does show his emerging commercial edge. Compared to the excellent NTL this album is much rockier with a simpler sound. It does illustrate how much the band have progressed if you compare it to NTL recorded 5 years later. Let it rock features on both albums and the difference between the two versions stands out a mile. Excellent songs and a great performance. If you like blues rock then you will like this. Can''t say I noticed much from the remaster? Well worth getting but I would strongly recommend Nine Tonight Live if you are tossing between the two.

I''ve lent this album out twice and didn''t get it back! No small wonder... it''s a text book ''live'' offering honestly capturing Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band at arguably their best. Hard to believe it was done on just a 16 track desk - proving less is more, and a great mix that would embarass plenty of later bands. Dynamic, electrifying, the quality stands the test of time, 35 years on, all done without the interference of record company suits who only know how to destroy the vibe of such an offering. This is the earlier Seger stuff, pre ''76 Stranger In Town material, but the songs are still big, along with a fine performance to boot. Around this era everyone was doing double live albums - so without breaking down the songs individually, if you haven''t got it, buy it. "Nine Tonight" is also a great live package dating to 1980. A real keeper. If only it was available on DVD...
